Programming

The first computer I owned you programmed in Tiny BASIC, integer only and limited $strings, or in machine code. It was my gateway into a world of wonder, I new nothing, absolutely nothing, except what I had been reading in the few magazines available then. That first machine helped me on the way to building my own castles in the clouds.

That first MicroComputer was based around the Intel 8080 and although it had Tiny Basic built in, programming in machine code was where the fascination lay and one of the first programs I bought was an assembler.

My second acquisition used the Zilog Z80 an altogether faster and flexible processor, progressing to briefly, the Motorola 6809 then the 68000.
