After the update to the PMC 25.23’s the PMC 25.21’s were moved into the “office”, but with nothing to drive them they stood on the shelf gathering dust. Not wanting to spend a lot of money I came across the Tangent Ampster BT II at £159, I thought why not and ordered one.

As the office is only is only 8.5′ x 7′ I thought 50 watts per channel would be more than adequate and as it turned out I wasn’t wrong. The amp itself has a nice weight to it and tidily made.

The speakers cost 12.5 times the Tangent Ampster so I was expecting a “Meh moment” when playing something through it for the first time, no where close, just glad I was sitting down. An impressive aural delight, thoroughly recommended.
